Jenefer Lhugabwe
Jenefer Lhugabwe, Female – Lead Agronomist and Permaculture Facilitator
Jenefer is bachelor’s holder in Horticulture (Hons) from Makerere University and a Permaculture Design Certificate. She has 9 years of work experience in the field of agronomy and extension. Jenefer started her Career as an Agronomic Fellow at Mairye Flowers in central Uganda. Thereafter, she joined Grameen Foundation as an Agricultural Content and Extension Expert; serving for 5 years.
Currently, Jenefer supports smallholder farmers to apply permaculture designs to their farming practices where she’s designed farmer training manual in permaculture and organic farming. She has also invented a mobile drip irrigation kit for vegetable smallholder farmers in the region.
Jenefer is a dedicated, committed, skilled, and adaptable and result oriented leader, with experience in implementing and overseeing impactful agricultural programs. She has hands on knowledge in smart climate agriculture. An innovative thinker, in combination with excellent communication skills and team building. Jenefer is passionate about improving farming practices and livelihood for smallholder farmers.
