Winnie Tushabe

Winnie Tushabe, Female, Co-Founder and Implementation, Finance and Administration Director.

Winnie has over 7 years of work experience with smallholder farmers in Uganda. Winnie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Adult and Community Education, a Permaculture Design Certificate and has Post graduate training in Accounting and Entrepreneurship. Winnie has been involved in several community development programs having worked with Swamp Enterprises as a Business Mentor and Later joined YICE Uganda as a Program Coordinator also in Charge of Finance.

Winnie has been with YICE for over 5 years – and she has seen the organization grow from a small pilot to an impactful social enterprise. In addition to managing YICE’s finance, Winnie is also in charge of community organizing, formation of farmer groups, training on group dynamics and loan and savings trainings. She also monitors YICE Uganda’s work on the ground. Winnie is passionate about improving livelihoods for rural women and always walks the last mile to identify, enroll and build the capacity of those in need of our interventions.
