Noah Ssempijja Male
Co-founder and program director
Noah has over a decade’s experience working in the non-profit development sector across Uganda. Noah has gained considerable management experience having previously worked with GiveDirectly, MTN Uganda, Heifer International before concentrating efforts in growing YICE Uganda. Over the years, Noah has attained extensive training and exposure in Permaculture. He holds a bachelor’s Degree in Adult and Community Education and recently completed an MA in R efugee protection and forced Migration studies at the University of London.
Noah provides strategic direction and organization management at YICE Uganda, in charge of partnerships and donor engagement and communication at the organization. Noah is passionate about empowering women and refugee communities.
Winnie Tushabe
Co-founder and field implementation lead.
With an academic background in Adult Education, Regenerative Farming and Ecosystems restoration as well as Permaculture training, Winnie is an experienced agricultural training professional with over eight years of experience managing and delivering green farmer projects in fast paced work environments.
She an effective communicator with efficient written and spoken English, and a kin attention to details. She has advanced technology skills with hands on experience using office software, work based applications and project management tools.
Winnie is passionate about improving livelihoods for rural women and always walks the last mile to identify, enroll and build the capacity of those in need of our interventions.
Aimable Amanagakiza
Regenerative farming trainer and field operations officer
Aimable is a refugee from Burundi. He is married with 5 children – and has lived in Nakivale refugee settlement for over 5 years since he arrived from Burundi. Aimable has a Diploma in Agronomy.
He also completed a Permaculture Design Certificate training funded by YICE. Aimable is YICE’s Lead trainer for Regenerative Farming activities and is also in charge of community organizing and group formation, and monitors YICE’s work on the ground.
He monitors all our field activities including working with stakeholders in field. Aimable is passionate about improving livelihoods for rural women and youths.
